The hilltop job came with a view in every direction and bedrock under every inch of it. It took an 18-ton excavator with a jackhammer to open the hole — then a waterfall, a slide, laminar jets, bubblers, a sunken fire pit and a custom pebble interior went in on top of it.
That is the job most companies pass on. It is also the reason a homeowner on a hillside in Auberry or Oakhurst calls us instead of a franchise with a call center. We have been digging into the east side of this valley for thirty-five years, and we know what is under it.
